Le just because

It’s a tres funny picture they used on breakingnews.

The Irish are just a little bit wrong?

It’s from last year

Or earlier than that, but Coldplay’s latest offering just reminded me of it:

Coldplay are saps.

I was at Oxegen.

Totally unrelated to my last post, might I just add.
Anyway most of my posse have already blogged, so I thought i’d just bask in their reflected glory.
Delightful Darren’s Excellent guidage btw.
Ravishing Rick’s

Lovely Liz’s

Awesome Andrew’s
(I haven’t included the non bloggers/anonymous here)
and let them re-count my experience, since I’m confused enough as it is. And they’ve already [...]

Coince-gen?

That this headline is out just a few days after Oxegen?

10% rise in chlamydia cases
The number of people testing positive for the sexually transmitted disease chlamydia increased by more than 10% last year compared to 2006.
Maybe so.

Angel of the Liffey?

Something like this is coming to Dublin, except much bigger.
I for one can’t wait. Anthony Gormley, he gives good art.
Antony Gormley and the Dublin Docklands Development Authority announce his appointment to create a 48 metre figurative sculpture, using an open ‘bubble matrix’ structure in tar-coated steel, to be located rising out of the River Liffey, [...]

To be fair…

I saw it in the Indo, but look, the Dude is blogging… mmm white russians.

Too Much Crying Sexy.

About right really,

More tears.

Teeth #2

Not quite Vagina Dentata but possibly coming to a garden near you.
A carnivorous slug that kills worms with its blade-like teeth, sucking them in like spaghetti, has been found in Britain.
The ghost slug, which hunts at night, is a new species similar to ones found in Turkey and Georgia. It turned [...]

I haven’t been Meme’d

However, I did find this site, through Liz’s Blog. It’s deeply addictive. Reminds me of Sinead’s Book Inbox, and how useless I am when i’m out of the loop like this. The problem is I keep buying, instead of reading! Stop buying things like this:

and this:

Goodread allows you to keep a virtual book shelf, see [...]

I should be worried

The last festival I was at, I saw light coming out of the head of one of the many performers. I also got lost 8,000 times, and ended up drinking confiscated pink champagne with new friends. I have a bit of a habit, and it rules on nights out too, but less so lately, where [...]

A giant spider.

Apparently Oxegen is over-run with large arachnid creatures. I was never scared before. Actually that’s a lie. I wasn’t scared of spiders before, just loads of other things.
Em… some serious dedication at this years festy:

Smacks of the 80s.

I was sitting quietly, on the net and then this weird noise started, and it was ’cause this site opened. Jesus it’s weird, and vaguely hypnotic. It’s that pseudo pan-pipe music.
*Feels dirty*

What doesn’t kill you makes you stranger.

I’m lying low from the Internet, I’ve discovered it’s evil.
In the meantime, linkage to a “world exclusive clip” of The Joker in Action. The Guardian has it.

Green Eggs and Ham.

Dr. Seuss has the best website ever? Quite possibly.

I’m not really with it.

Wow, you can totally link a picture. Good to know.

John does some mala.

Just made me smile, I needed one.
Mál-action.

Pipilotti Rist

New stuff I’m impressed by:

The site especially so,
and oddly:

Just the thing for all your festival needs.

The Brown Corporation. Via the always excellent Picnic forum.

Doctor, Who?

Yeah I don’t watch Doctor Who. I did see that episode with Kylie Minogue, I think it was her, I’ve watched bits but i never really got it. It’s no Queer as Folk anyway.
But I did like this: Doctor Who: A Musical Force? And we all know:
Firstly the stellar work of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, [...]

Oxford Comma

This song is really excellent.
Go on the Vampire Weekend, and stuff.

Which do you dance for?

I got this the other day:

It’s got some bad stuff, but it’s got some really, really good stuff. It’s got some Nick Drake.
You can say the sun is shining if you really want to
I can see the moon and it seems so clear
You can take the road that takes you to the stars now
I can [...]

List of the past.

I love lists. We all know this.
Well here, the lovely Nialler, (he’s invited for tea at the stables anytime) has charged the atmosphere with the power of nerd… while making a list.
Oh no, see I haven’t started it yet. But soon,
and on that note, normal blogging to resume extremely soon.

The first five minutes of The Dark Knight?

Here.
Go, quick, now!

Heartsies!

It’s for the well hidden nerd in me:

Nintendecals.

Bookdate.

Look, look, on the subject of what are bloggers reading? It’s William Shatner almost all around.
